New broadleaf weed identification guide

Bayer CropScience recently produced a new weed identification guide, A Field Guide to Broadleaf Weeds, together with OMAFRA and the University of Guelph. The new pocket-size guide contains full-colour photos to help correctly identify 21 of the most common broadleaf weeds in cereal, corn and soybean crops. Information provided on each weed includes:

  • key agronomic info including geographic ranges and competiveness
  • close-up photos to clearly identify various plant parts
  • important decision-making tools including potential herbicide resistance

OMAFRA provincial weed specialist Mike Cowbrough provided all the technical information in the guide, and together with University of Guelph field technician Peter Smith, supplied all the high quality photographs of the broadleaf weeds.

The guide is available at no charge.
